Too lazy to read right now, but I really miss Geo.

I did a little write up on the geo storm a few years ago.
It suddenly got some more likes and comments earlier this week for reasons I don’t know about but if anyone feels the need to add to it, it’s here - https://oppositelock.kinja.com/cars-that-time-forgot-geo-storm-gsi-1147859260

We had a ‘90 Prizm from new to ~’01. Awesome car! Out of all of the cars we no-longer have, it’s probably the one I miss the most. If only it was a GSi!

My uncle had a Geo Storm hatchback. It had the round headlights, not the pop-ups. But it had a manual trans! That car was cool!

I owned a ‘93 Geo Prizm LSi and it was a damn good car. It had the 1.8 and a 5-speed, and it wasn’t exactly sporty but I liked it. It held up well in a minor crash, and I was able to wring $1100 out of it when I was done with it. I also had a couple Chevy Sprints, and nearly bought a Metro.
Note that even after Geo died, GM kept on rebadging captive imports like the Aveo and Spark.

Why do y
ou tease me with my Geo Prism? It was the first car I pu
rchased out of college. It served
well for over 50K miles with no complaints. I beat the shit out of it, and still got over $500 on trade.

2 out of 4 wore Holden badges here. I suzu coupe we never got nor the Tracker (but it was sold here in Australia as the Suzuki Vitara)
the Corolla based one had a different front and sold as a Holden Nova ( top pic)
the Metro was sold here as a Holden Barina (no convertible model though - bottom pic )
